Both are fucking idiots. Bike for clogging the right lane (eventhough I live in Japan it still feels weird saying that lol), ute driver for tailgating a motorcyle.

Arguably the ute driver is even more of an asshole as we all know how dangerous tailgating a bike can be (a bike clogging the left lane does not deserve to finish under your wheels), but both are stupid.

I would have most likely passed on left, then pointed at the left lane once in front. And yes I know passing on the left is illegal, but well... Clogging the right lane is often too damn annoying.

EDIT: didn’t even notice he ended up saying death threats and stuff like this... Put both in jail for a while, would be good riddance really.

motorbike rider - if road is marked 80 km/h and above you MUST keep left!

if not 80kmh or more then ute driver.

I agree that both are idiots. From the angle of the video it seems like the UTE driver is tailgating but noting worse than I’ve seen in Boston. I would blame the bike for continuing to drive up to him and confront him. Its easy enough to pull off for 45 seconds and let the UTE go away.

Either way this was a lot stupider than it should have been and when the bike started making threats on his own camera it just showed he was looking for trouble. And I do love the Aussie/British 2 finger salute.

Correct way the biker should have dealt with this was to point out he didn’t like the tailgating... thus the point to the left lane at the start. Then do absolutely nothing else and say nothing else.

I’m going with 100% biker there. Looked to me like the ‘tailgating’ was all in his head. He’s the sort of roid-raging idiot who doesn’t believe in ATTGATT, so I wouldn’t expect him to know what a safe distance is.

As a bike and car owner, I was on the bike’s side right up until the second confrontation.

Express your displeasure once to let them know you didn’t appreciate being tailgated. Express it again, and you’re just whining.

Let it go, dude. LET IT GO.

Both are idiots, but I don’t think the UTE looked like he was that close to the guy.

I’d definitely put more blame on the biker as he continued to chase the dude down and attempted to escalate the situation.

Side note: The language is exactly what I’d have expected from an Aussie road rage confrontation. lol

100% bike. And I have a motorcycle, so not being biased against them.

The guy is a self-righteous douche...as if having a camera automatically makes you the one being wronged. They’re only useful if you aren’t the guy clogging passing lanes and then carrying on.

Though the ute shouldn’t tailgate (something I am unfortunately used to and frustrated by). Flash your lights or something.

Agreed, the bike guy should have just let the ute guy pass and get over it. It’s not a race.

On the language, I couldn’t understand much of it. Hopefully there were references to large knives, kangaroos, dingoes, and each other’s mums tho. Maybe throw some shrimp on the barbie for good measure.

It was more incredibly liberal use of two four letter words, beginning with “F” and “C” respectively. haha

100% the biker’s fault. Blocking the right lane, refusing to move over, antagonizing the Ute driver, even as he obviously tried to ignore the biker. Following him for miles, to antagonize him at every stoplight. 100% biker. Open and shut.

Biker is a complete tool. I’m completely fine with kicking him out of my country, dickhead doesn’t really get that making threats when you were in the wrong to start with, all while on camera, which he then proceeds to upload thinking because he has a fucking camera on his helmet, but shit all gear, dude is a fucking learner too. Can’t wait for him to get pulled over for this shit. Might happen before or after he needs skin grafts.
